This past weekend I experienced Mt. Baker. The pow was deep, stoke was high and I am so excited to return again. You have to experience this place to truly understand how magical it is. The mountains are so alive that you can feel their energy. Back to Hood for another week full of pow skiing and digital marketing adventures. The Closing of a ChapterThis adventure cycle has come to an end. That means a new one is about to begin.
As I started writing the closing of this chapter I had no idea what was coming, but I felt it. I spent the greater part of an entire morning and afternoon reflecting on the past month and a half. It is incredible how far I have come, how much I have matured, how many opportunities have come into my life and how many amazing people I have met along the way. But, none of this could have prepared my family and I for the passing of my amazing grandmother. It is truly serendipitous that as I write this I am also reflecting on the long amazing life of my 103 year old Great Grandma Ida. I visited her only days ago and she passed one day after my visit. I will be taking a significant amount of time again in the near future to reflect on her life at a much deeper level. To reconnect with her in the mountains. To truly feel the amazing life she has blessed our family with. My Great Grandma Ida was unique. She was strong even into her older years. She was an amazing farmer, wife, community member, grandma, friend. How do you even make a list for 103 year old awesome person? She was awesome and I have a remembrance story to write. None of what I have experienced would have been possible without the love and support from my family, friends and the other amazing people I met along the open road. For these relationships, I am forever grateful. I know Grandma will be with me as I flow into my next adventure. Thanks for reading and for your support! Summit as friends! Scott
