Ironman Kona is a journey to one of the greatest destinations that triathletes ever reach in their careers. It is a world class event that individuals must qualify for by placing in the top one or two positions within their age group in another Ironman event. Impossible? No! Hard, really hard? Yes! My girlfriend Nicole is talented, dedicated, focused and passionate. The perfect mixture for a world class athlete. This year she qualified for Kona by racing the Whistler Ironman in a time of 10:49:48 and placing second. The female that got third in her division was a shy 8 seconds back. A picture of how competitive this 140.6 mile endurance race is. We were all stoked not only for her, but the fact that come October we would be travelling to Kona. As her boyfriend I have seen all the time, energy, sacrifice and commitment that went into making the seemingly impossible possible. I am truly blessed to have a women in my life that inspires everyone around her to be better, stronger and faster. We did a lot of cool stuff during our two weeks in Kona. I could write all day about the details of each place, how I landed a digital marketing client, got smashed by the sea on a bodyboard, snorkeled with turtles and so on. Instead, I am going to take this time to let you enjoy your journey through our photographs. They visually represent the smiles, tears, energy and inspiration that continues to keep this journey thrive. Find your passion, where you want to be, build a plan, follow it. One day you will be standing exactly where you imagined. Summit as friends! Scott
